20 Technology Complexes

Global Energy Transformation Institute has defined 20 key technology complexes and areas where transformation strategies, methods, and tools need to be developed. These 20 complexes are universal and relevant for consideration by most countries and they are also focus areas for substantial technology development projects in different countries.
In order to realize rapid, precise, and cost effective transformation of energy related sectors of national economies, we need to focus efforts on the most promising technology solutions and ways forward in each area. National governments and other parties with responsibility for the economic development in countries and regions need to analyze the ways forward within each of these technology complexes, and develop strategies and methods that provide a basis for rapid progress.
